AI in Planning anonymous survey - London Assembly Planning and Regeneration Committee

Introduction

The London Assembly Planning and Regeneration Committee is exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) is being used in London’s planning system, including the opportunities it presents, the challenges it may create, and the potential implications for the future of planning in London. As part of this investigation, we want to hear from planners and other professionals involved in the planning process about their experiences of using AI tools in their work.

AI tools may include general purpose AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude and Gemini, as well as planning-specific AI applications, agents, and other tools that use artificial intelligence to generate, analyse, summarise, or process information.

The deadline for responding is Monday 16 November 2026.

If you require further information, please contact Meghan Doyle, Senior Policy Adviser, Meghan.Doyle@london.gov.uk.

Further information about the Committee’s investigation can be found on the London Assembly website.

Individual responses to the survey will be confidential. Any information that could be used to identify an individual will be removed before publication. Anonymised responses may be used to form part of outputs produced by the Planning and Regeneration Committee, so please do not include information that you would not want to see published.

At the end of the survey, you will have the opportunity to provide your contact details if you would like to receive updates about the investigation or a copy of the Committee's final report. These contact details will solely be used for signing you up to updates and will not be published or linked to responses during analysis.
