Have your say on the future of transport in South Yorkshire
We’re building the South Yorkshire People’s Network, a transport system designed around the people who use it.
You can already see things starting to change. We’ve brought our trams back into public control, and buses are next.
Now we’re looking further ahead. We want to understand how well transport works for you today, what gets in the way, and what would make the biggest difference to how you get around South Yorkshire.
Your views will help shape South Yorkshire’s new Local Transport Plan and the future of the People’s Network.
Tell us what matters to you
From 1 October to 31 October 2026, we’re asking people across South Yorkshire to tell us about their experience of getting around and what they think should change in the future.
We want to know what works well, what could be better and what matters most to you. That could be more affordable fares, more reliable and frequent services, safer walking, wheeling and cycling, or better connections to the places you need to go.
Whether you use public transport every day, drive, walk, wheel or cycle, or don't travel very often, we want to hear from you.
The survey is open until 31 October 2026. The survey will take approximately 6 minutes to complete.

What happens next?
We’ll look at everything people tell us and use it to help develop South Yorkshire’s new Local Transport Plan.
The Plan will set out our priorities for improving transport and delivering the South Yorkshire People’s Network in the years ahead.
You’ll have another opportunity to have your say when we consult on the draft Plan in 2027.
