Have your say on excessive vehicle exhaust noise

As Police and Crime Commissioner for West Mercia, I regularly hear from residents whose lives are being affected by excessively noisy vehicles, particularly those with illegally modified exhausts. People tell me the noise disrupts sleep, affects wellbeing, and stops them enjoying their homes and local communities.

I believe more needs to be done nationally to tackle this issue, but it is important that I can demonstrate the scale of the problem and the impact it is having on local people. That is why I am asking for your views.

This short survey will help me better understand your experiences of vehicle exhaust noise — where it is happening, how often, and how it affects day‑to‑day life. The information you provide will directly support the national work I am contributing to, including a submission to the Minister for Transport on improving enforcement and finding effective solutions. Your feedback will help ensure that the concerns of West Mercia residents are represented in those discussions.

The survey should take only a few minutes to complete. Thank you for taking the time to share your views and help make our communities safer, quieter and more enjoyable places to live.
