UK Heritage Pulse September 2026

Commercial trading & entrepreneurship

This month we’re looking at commercial trading: the things heritage organisations sell, hire out or licence in order to generate income. We mean anything where you charge for goods, services, access or the use of your assets, from a shop or a café to a wedding booking, a paid workshop or an image licence. Scale doesn’t matter, and neither does whether it makes money.

If you don’t trade at all, that’s a genuinely useful answer. We'll ask you a few questions about your attitude to commercial trading only.

The full survey takes about five to ten minutes to complete.
