Metropolitan Police Recruitment and Retention

Introduction

On behalf of the London Assembly Police and Crime Committee, Emma Best AM is conducting a rapporteurship into recruitment and retention of Metropolitan police (the Met) officers. Further information about the investigation can be found on the Assembly website.

We are seeking the views of current and former Met police officers to understand the factors that affect retention of police officers in the Met. Please note, the rapporteurship is investigating general issues impacting recruitment and retention in the Met, with a special focus on areas within the remit of the Met police leadership or the Mayor and Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC). It will not investigate specific grievances or individual cases.

The findings of the survey will be used to inform the Rapporteur’s investigation. Responses may be used to form part of a report or output, so please do not include information you would not want to be published.

At the end of the survey, you can choose to provide your contact details if you would like a copy of the report when it's published. Providing your details is optional. If you do not provide your details, your response will be anonymous. If you share your contact details, these will be treated confidentially and will not be published.
