Volunteer with In2research: building inclusive pathways to research careers
For our 2026/27 programme, we’re looking to work with amazing researchers and academics who can share their insights and expertise with participants from low socioeconomic backgrounds and underrepresented groups in research.
Through this form, you can apply for the role of Mentor, Placement Host, or both!
- Mentors: support In2research participants through four online mentoring sessions between February and April 2027
- Placement Hosts: create and supervise an 8 week research placement in summer 2027 for an In2research participant
You can read more about these roles and the In2research programme here.
A note about the form…
The form will ask you to provide details about yourself and a brief summary of your work.
For Placement Host applicants, the form will also ask you to provide an outline of a defined research project, OR you can opt to define the project with your matched participant at a later date.
If you have any questions about volunteering with In2research, please email us at research@in2scienceuk.org.
Thank you for your time and support.
