Trainee Registration for the Basic Sciences Course and Continuous Assessment Program

Basic Sciences Course (BSC) -
- Week 1: Sat 6 - Tue 9 June,
- Week 2: Tue 16 - Fri 19 June
- Exam: Mon 17 - Fri 21 Aug
Continuous Assessment Program (CAP) -
- Written Assignment 1 - Due Mon 4 May
- Oral Assessment Task (OAT) - Mon 14 or Tue 15 Sept
- Written Assignment 1 - Due Fri 18 Sept

PARTICIPATION:

To participate in the BSC/E and CAP, you must be an AANMS Trainee Member. Joining is free and can be completed here.
To participate in the BSC/E, you must pay the course fee by 23rd March

The Basic Sciences Course is predominantly held online, but has two in-person practical training days. These days are held at designated training settings within each state/region. Trainees are expected to travel to these locations and participate in the full day of training. Trainees are welcome to attend locations that are out of their usual state/region, however this must be approved prior by the AANMS Education Officer. The locations of these in-person practical sessions will be advised closer to the BSC.
The Oral Assessment Task is coordinated at a high level by the AANMS Education Officer, however each OAT Area Coordinator organises and delivers their own state/region OAT. Some areas will hold the OAT via teleconference, while other areas will have it in-person. More information will be provided by the AANMS Education Officer and your OAT Area Coordinator closer to the OAT.
