IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please read this disclaimer carefully before using any services provided by STROKE.FITNESS. By accessing our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms set forth herein.

1. NATURE OF SERVICES

STROKE.FITNESS provides post-stroke neuro-motor fitness training services—structured, progressive physical exercise and motor learning programs specifically adapted for individuals with stroke history. Our services are designed to optimize neuroplasticity, maintain functional capacity, enhance cardiovascular fitness, and support long-term wellness.

Our services are NOT:

• Medical treatment, diagnosis, or therapy

• Physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech-language pathology

• Stroke rehabilitation or clinical rehabilitation services

• A substitute for professional medical care, advice, or treatment

• Emergency medical services or acute care

Our team consists of certified fitness professionals with specialized neuro-motor training credentials—not licensed healthcare providers. We operate within a fitness and wellness context, focusing on optimization of stable conditions rather than treatment of active impairments.

2. MEDICAL CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT

Prior to participating in any STROKE.FITNESS program, you must obtain written medical clearance from your physician or qualified healthcare provider. This clearance confirms that you are medically stable and appropriate for participation in structured physical exercise. We reserve the right to refuse services to any individual who has not obtained proper medical clearance or whose health status contraindicates participation.

You are solely responsible for maintaining communication with your healthcare team regarding your participation in our programs and for reporting any changes in your medical condition, medications, or health status.

3. NO MEDICAL ADVICE

The information, assessments, and guidance provided by STROKE.FITNESS are for fitness and educational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Nothing contained in our services, communications, or materials should be construed as a substitute for professional medical advice.

Always seek the advice of your physician, neurologist, physical therapist, or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding your medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking treatment because of information obtained through STROKE.FITNESS services.

4. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

Physical exercise, including programs adapted for individuals with stroke history, involves inherent risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to: muscle soreness or strain, fatigue, elevated heart rate and blood pressure, falls, cardiovascular events (including heart attack or recurrent stroke), and in rare cases, serious injury or death. Your stroke history may increase certain of these risks.

By participating in STROKE.FITNESS programs, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with such participation. You agree to follow all instructions provided by our fitness professionals and to immediately notify staff of any pain, discomfort, dizziness, shortness of breath, or other concerning symptoms during training.

5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, STROKE.FITNESS, its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from or related to: (a) your use of or inability to use our services; (b) any injury, illness, or health condition sustained during or after participation; (c) reliance on any information provided through our services; or (d) any decisions you make based upon such information.

This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability, including negligence, breach of contract, strict liability, or any other legal theory, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct prohibited by law.
