About the Survey

Dear Participant,

Welcome to the OptFORESTS project, funded by the Horizon Europe EU programme for research and innovation, which explores innovative roles that forest genetic diversity and regeneration can play for a sustainable future of forests in Europe in the face of the climatic and biodiversity crises.

This survey aims to explore your attitudes, perceptions and knowledge gaps in relation to the conservation, production, management and use of forest genetic resources (FGR) and forest reproductive materials (FRM) in your country and in Europe. If you choose to participate, the Introductory section will provide definitions of these concepts and an innovative visualisation developed by the project, illustrating how they are interconnected.

Your insights are crucial for providing new knowledge and shaping future strategies and initiatives for a sustainable future of forests in Europe. The survey will take approximately 45 minutes.

Your answers are anonymised at the origin and will be treated only in aggregated forms and only for the purposes of the research, according to the European General Data Protection Regulation (EU Reg. 2016/679- GDPR). Details on data management and use are provided here.
