Training Programme: How to carry out stakeholder and citizen engagement in practice - 19th November training session

Elevate Your Engagement Skills: Join MIP4Adapt's Stakeholder and Citizen Engagement Training Sessions!

Our training sessions are tailored for regions and local authorities, guiding you through the essential aspects and proven methods for effective stakeholder and citizen engagement in climate adaptation. The sessions focus on engagement activities that can benefit regions in the design and implementation of different steps of the adaptation cycle – everything from preparing the ground for adaptation (Step 1 of the RAST) to monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the adaptation plan (Step 6 of the RAST).

Next session:
  • Green Participatory Budgets, November 19th, from 13:30 to 15:30 CET

A green participatory budget gives citizens a direct say in how public budgets are allocated and spent for addressing climate change. In this session, the city of Turku (Finland) will present their experiences with participatory budgeting. The session will include a hands-on exercise to understand how to design and implement participatory budgets, including the identification of key stakeholders and ensuring their active participation, and existing mechanisms and criteria to gather and assess project proposals from citizens.
