There are two questionnaires in this test: the Alcohol Use Disorder Test, AUDIT, and the Drug Use Disorder Test, DUDIT. The tests are designed to check out if your substance use is likely to be harmful or problematic. They are screening tests meaning that they aim to say Yes or No as to whether or not you have a problem. That said, the scores do give some measure of the severity of problem drinking or drug use.
