City of Melbourne Youth Services Review - Sector

Introduction

Acknowledgement of Traditional Owners

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong Boon Wurrung peoples of the Eastern Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past, present and emerging. We are committed to our reconciliation journey, because at its heart, reconciliation is about strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal peoples, for the benefit of all Victorians.

Background

The City of Melbourne (CoM) provides services, programs and facilities to people that live, work, study in or visit the city. This includes young people – defined here as anyone between the ages of 12 and 25. CoM wants to better support young people. We are doing this through reviewing the needs of young people, mapping the services offered to them in the city, and understanding their awareness and usage of current services.

This survey is intended for City of Melbourne employees, its partners, service providers, subject matter experts and community members who interact with and understand the needs of young people that live, study, work in, or visit the City of Melbourne. Here, a young person is defined as anyone between the ages of 12 and 25.
