ISGAN Lighthouse Project Survey

Welcome

Survey on Long-term Planning and Implementation of
Smart Distribution Grids Powering the Energy Transition

Distribution grids play a pivotal role in advancing the energy transition necessary to achieve climate goals, including the recent commitments made at COP28 to triple renewable energy usage and double energy efficiency. However, power grids face numerous challenges and require substantial investment in modernization to ensure resilience for the future.

The International Smart Grid Action Network (ISGAN) is conducting a comprehensive survey to pinpoint uncertainties, challenges and needs of key stakeholder.

This survey  is organized as part of the ISGAN Lighthouse Project, a global initiative aimed at fostering collaboration among leading experts, policymakers, grid owners, utilities, distribution system operators from around the world to develop smart distribution grids for the energy transition.

The results and insights from this survey and several stakeholder workshops will be synthesized into policy messages directed to the Clean Energy Ministerial and presented at CEM15 in Brazil in October 2024.

The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
Covering various aspects of long-term planning and implementation of distribution grids,
the survey is designed to specific actor groups and we kindly request that you specify the group you represent in the initial step.

The data you are providing will be analyzed in an anonymized way.
If you give contact details, this is voluntary information and is only used for purposes you indicate at the end of the survey.

The survey is conducted and processed by Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH (AIT) and ISGAN.

By agreeing to participate in this survey, you consent to AIT GmbH processing of personal data as listed in the attached privacy policy.
