Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) Testing Grant - Stage 2

UK SAF Clearing House Testing Grant - Stage 2 – Grant application

To be read in conjunction with the Sustainable Aviation Fuels Testing Grant guidance document.

The purpose of this form is to qualify fuel producers for support and advice from the UK SAF Clearing House in advance of a potential application for DfT funding.

Please do not complete this stage 2 form unless you have been informed you have passed the stage 1 eligible assessment by the UK SAF Clearing House. 
  • Appendix A - Evidence to support level of product development and evaluation (Fuel Readiness Level)
  • Appendix B - Identification of tests required (the UK SAF Clearing House template be used)
  • Appendix C - If applicable, letters from all proposed partners confirming that they have agreed to be part of the consortium/alliance/partnership that will implement this project
  • Appendix D - A summary of the overall test plan - Gantt chart
  • Appendix E - An outline risk register (the UK SAF Clearing House template be used).
  • Appendix F - Evidence of test house quotes to support value of grant requested
  • Appendix G - Details of match funding from project financiers (where appropriate).
Appendix B and E will be supplied to you by the UK SAF Clearing House once you have been informed you have passed stage 1.  You will also be granted access to the online folder to upload your appendices.

Please note: For most questions there is a maximum word count. A shorter response may be adequate.

Assessors are unable to read lengthy supporting documents in addition to this application form. Each appendix that accompanies an application must be concise, with multiple pages compiled within a single pdf, and Applicants should make sure:
  • Any pertinent information in the appendix is directly referenced within a question’s response in the application form.
The corresponding evidence within the appendix should also be labelled clearly with the corresponding question number wherever possible.
