Northumbria healthcare drone trial

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of health and care services to support more than 500,000 people living in Northumberland and North Tyneside.

Northumbria Healthcare is constantly striving to embed and enable innovation within the Trust with the aim of developing solutions to improve people’s treatment and/or quality of life.

As part of this, the Trust is currently investigating the potential use of drones, specifically Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), to transport medical supplies to patients across the region. This is in partnership with Apian, a healthcare drone start-up founded by a team of NHS doctors and ex-googlers.

In the following survey we’d like to understand your views about drones and their potential use within the healthcare sector.

The survey will take 5-10 minutes to complete.

Thank you for taking part!
