Confidentiality Notice
The parties to this agreement are the sponsor, the Royal Academy of Engineering (the “Sponsor”), the disclosing party (“Disclosing Party”) and GoodCorporation Ltd (“GoodCorporation” or “GC") the entity running the Review (collectively the “Parties” and each individually a “Party”). Any Confidential Information obtained by any Party shall be used only for the purposes of this Review and the delivery of its related services.
Both parties undertake that for a period of five years from the date of disclosure they will treat all Confidential Information with the same degree of care as they employ with regard to their own confidential information of a similar nature and in any event in accordance with best current commercial security practices, disclosing Confidential Information only to those of its employees, assessors, consultants, agents and bona fide professional advisers who need to have such information for the purposes of this Review, and ensuring that such employees, assessors, consultants, agents and professional advisers shall be bound by the same confidentiality obligations as are set out in this Confidentiality Notice.
The provisions above shall not apply to:
- Any information in the public domain otherwise than by breach of this Confidentiality Notice;
- Information in possession of the receiving party before disclosure by the Disclosing Party, in respect of which the receiving party does not already owe a duty of confidentiality to the Disclosing Party;
- GC disclosing Disclosing Party’s Confidential Information to GC’s team and to such other employees, agents, consultants or subcontractors as need to know it for the purpose of discharging GC’s obligations to the Disclosing Party and the Sponsor. GC shall ensure that its employees, agents, consultants or subcontractors to whom it discloses the Disclosing Party's Confidential Information comply with this Confidentiality Notice;
- Information obtained without restriction from a third party; or
- Information required to be disclosed by a court of competent jurisdiction, governmental body or applicable regulatory authority.

GoodCorporation does not store or process your personal data outside of the EEA. However, we may pass your information to our third party service provider (above) who have operations outside of the EEA.
When we do this, we ensure that we transfer only the data necessary for the purposes of the processing. We take steps to ensure that adequate safeguards are put in place to protect your personal data and we ensure that these third parties have adequate protections in place to protect your personal data. GoodCorporation has reviewed, and will periodically review, the approach of our third party processors towards data protection and privacy.

Retention periods
We retain personal information in accordance with applicable laws, regulations (including the General Data Protection Regulation) and our data retention policy.
