Permits Foundation Survey

Welcome to the Permits Foundation 20th Anniversary Survey

Permits Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit initiative supported by over 40 major international companies and organisations. We carry out advocacy at government level and world-wide to help enable employment access for spouses and partners of highly-skilled mobile workers. With this timely survey aimed at both global mobility professionals and partners of international employees, we look to capture the views of the widest audience we have ever reached.

Why are we asking you to take part in this survey?
A sound evidence base is fundamental to the Foundation’s work. We want to know if and how attitudes to partner employment access have shifted since our first widescale surveys in 2008 and 2012 and in light of the pandemic. In this survey, w
e ask questions relating to the types of international assignment being taken and by whom, health and well-being, partner assistance, diversity, equity and inclusion. The survey report findings will underpin our advocacy work going forward.

You are invited to take part in the survey if you are:
  • An HR manager or similar in an international company, organisation, university or research institute. You work in the field of global mobility, talent management or immigration.
or
  • A spouse or partner of a highly-skilled international employee.
Participants will be directed to a survey consisting of approximately 30 questions and taking around 10-15 minutes to complete. If you have more to say, there is space for additional comment under each question. All responses will be treated confidentially. No persons will be individually identifiable in the results. Further information is available in Permits Foundation’s privacy statement.

This survey will be available on-line until mid November 2021. Findings will be made available as part of a report on the Permits Foundation website. All participants are offered a copy of the report.
