Discover Summer School 2021 Application Form

UCL Activity Overview

Our programmes are funded by UCL’s Access and Widening Participation funds. The questions in this form help us assess your application against our targeting criteria, which aims to increase undergraduate applications and enrolments from groups underrepresented at UCL. If you are unclear as to why you are being asked a question please see our eligibility criteria here.
The Discover UCL Summer School is an exciting opportunity exclusively for D/deaf and hard of hearing students in year 11 and year 12.

The summer school is a four day online programme that gives you the chance to find out more about UCL and life at university.

The summer school will consist of a variety of advice and guidance sessions that will help to prepare you for applying to university, writing a personal statement and navigating the UCAS process. You'll also get the chance to learn like a university student, be challenged academically as well as get help to identify the support available at university for D/deaf and Hard of Hearing students.

The summer school will run from Tuesday August 3rd to Friday August 6th. Participants will be expected to dedicate a few hours for each day of the programme.

The deadline for applications is 11.59pm on Thursday 24th June.

Before completing this form you will need to obtain the contact details of a teacher who can supply a reference for you. Please note that we can only accept applications with a completed teacher reference. The deadline for teacher references is Friday 25th June.

You will also need to supply information about your parents/carers, so we recommend that you complete this form with them present.
