SENSEI Survey on Pay-for-Performance (P4P) schemes for energy efficiency measures

Introduction

Dear participant,

This survey is being conducted as part of the European Commission-funded Horizon 2020 SENSEI project (Grant agreement ID: 847066) to identify potential risks and opportunities for energy efficiency Pay-for-Performance (P4P) schemes in the EU, in order to support their adaptability under different energy policy scenarios.

Pay-for-performance (P4P) schemes compensate energy efficiency resources based on a comparison of metered energy consumption and modelled counterfactual energy consumption, i.e., consumption in the absence of the energy efficiency action.  Aggregators or programme implementers often act as intermediaries between end-users and the organisation delivering payments. Pay-for-Performance (P4P) schemes reward end-users or aggregators for delivering energy savings, measured against the business-as-usual scenario. A certain level of operating performance, monitored with metered energy data, is required to obtain the incentive, often with repeated payments to reward persistent savings.

Filling out this survey takes about 15 minutes. Several questions ask about your personal opinion. Keep in mind that no right or wrong answers exist. Only your opinion matters. Also, your participation is completely voluntary, and you can stop whenever you want without having to justify it.

Thank you in advance for your participation!
