UNISON Northern has launched a Regional Health Care Assistant Campaign as we are aware the majority of Health Care Assistants are working way above the scope of their job descriptions to bridge the gap on low staff nursing levels. Most Health Care Assistants are employed on a Band 2 which is now the lowest pay band on agenda for change. Health Care Assistants play a key role in the NHS and are at the heart of healthcare.
