Taking action for sustainable global supply chains

Introduction

The UNISON International Unit are seeking members and activists who have been taking action to improve how the public sector buys products so that the rights of workers' are respected within global supply chains.  As part of our Purchasing Power: Putting Workers at the Heart of Public Procurement project we are running a series of three webinars called Dying To Save Lives.

The final webinar will examine the skills needed and ways to influence and work within your workplace to improve their practices and we want to be able to showcase the work of our members.

We know that this is an issue that resonates with many of our members.  We know that you don't want to save lives by wearing rubber gloves or utilising ventilators made by migrant workers enslaved  in factories in Malaysia or Thailand for example. And we know that some of you are trying to do something about it, whether that is focusing on sustainable procurement in general or specifically from a workers' rights perspective.

We'd like to hear from you about what you've been doing and the challenges and successes you have/are facing.  Even if you don't think you've done very much, we believe every action makes a difference, so please fill in this questionnaire.
4. Do you work in procurement, contract management or sustainability within your workplace?
