2021 In2scienceUK Mentor Application

In summer 2021, volunteer mentors will provide In2scienceUK students with the meaningful opportunity to build relationships with STEM professionals, gaining insights into the sector and helping to boost their confidence in pursuing a career in STEM.

Mentoring sessions lasting 45 minutes each will be held as webinars on our safe and secure online platform, with groups of up to three young people over the summer. Volunteers will also host an in-person 'Meet the Scientist' one-day work placement (Covid-19 restrictions permitting).

No prior mentoring experience is required to volunteer - we will provide all volunteers with training and a framework for each of the sessions.

We are currently accepting applications from volunteers who work in (or are within a 1-hour commute to) any of the following locations:
Birmingham
Bristol
Cambridge
Canterbury
Cardiff
Coventry
Exeter
Lancaster
Leeds
Liverpool
London
Lutterworth
Manchester
Oxford
Penryn
Reading
Warwick
Wolverhampton
Worcester

Please complete the form below to apply to mentor with In2scienceUK.
Note: The matching process is based on the specific interests of the students that gain a place on our programme, therefore we cannot guarantee we will be able to match all volunteers. Matching students to mentors will take place in May 2021.
