Employability Units 2023/24

The Employability Units are free short courses ONLY for current University of Bedfordshire level 4-7 (non-research) students.

Please complete the below form to express your interest in undertaking an Employability Unit.

Before you complete the form read and understand the following:

Students can take a maximum of 2 units over the course of the year (this could be 2 units within 1 semester or 1 unit in each semester).
Units are allocated to students on a first come first serve basis as spaces are limited.
Units will only run where there is sufficient demand and subject to tutor availability.
These units are short courses that carry 5 credits - these credits are standalone and cannot be used to supplement degree course results.
Spanish, German and Arabic will be live classes with a language tutor run via virtual software such as BREO collaborate or Microsoft Teams that all current students will have access to.

The Student Development and Awards Team will ONLY be in touch with students when they have successfully secured a place.

These units are credit bearing and carry 5 credits - these credits are standalone and cannot be used to supplement substantive degree course results.
Spanish, German and Arabic will be live classes with a language tutor run via virtual software such as BREO collaborate or Microsoft Teams that all current students will have access to.
As Spanish is a very popular class in will run on 2 days this semester if there is enough demand.
