GrowGreen market analysis survey (EU level)

Introduction

GrowGreen is an EU-funded project that aims to create climate and water resilient, healthy and livable cities by integrating nature-based solutions (NBS) into their planning, development, and management. The project is a partnership between seven cities – Brest (France), Manchester (UK), Modena (Italy), Valencia (Spain), Wroclaw (Poland), Wuhan (China) and Zadar (Croatia) – working together to address the challenges and opportunities facing urban areas by greening the city.

As part of this project, we are conducting a survey of industry associations, companies, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders in order to gather their views on the current functioning of the NBS market in Europe, including any barriers to the uptake of NBS.

The survey findings will inform a market analysis report, as well as policy recommendations aimed at addressing the barriers identified and facilitating the delivery of NBS in cities. Your responses are therefore very valuable for our analysis and will allow us to gain a better understanding of the current situation and possible means of improving it.

In the context of GrowGreen, we understand nature-based solutions (sometimes used inter-changeably with the term ‘green infrastructure’) as living solutions that use natural features and processes, such as the ability of green areas to control water flow or regulate temperatures, to address societal challenges in sustainable ways. The term ‘grey solutions’ is used in this survey to denote man-made, engineered constructions, such as dams, dikes, water treatment plants, etc.

The survey should take about 20 minutes to complete. Please note that the survey can only be completed in one sitting (it is unfortunately not possible to save and recommence later). For your contribution to be validated, you will have to reach the "Thank you" page of the survey (the last page) where you will be able to submit your responses.
